of les temps sont durs pour les rêveurs
Melody is fortunate enough to have a multifaceted artistic career:
Making music as Le Bas-fond, she is an expressive soprano. While first and foremost a recording artist, she is also a composer, having credits in film and theatre (Off-Broadway!). She also prides herself being self-produced, mixed and mastered, as well as engineering for other artists. She is a member of the Alliance for Women Film Composers, the American Guild of Musical Artists, and a BMI songwriter.
As a professional artist working under her given name, Melody's art work has been featured in magazines, calendars, children's books, and cds.
She holds a BA from SFSU in American Indian Studies, with an emphasis in constitutional law, environmental justice and religious freedom (cum laude). She is First Nations Abenaki and of the Indigenous peoples of Mexico, and remains active in the San Francisco Bay Area Native community. She contributed to an exhibit on Alcatraz Island about its 1969 American Indian Movement occupation that is now permanent.
Proud founder and executive producer of Cutest Kids in Town Records.
